Valerie, was born in France, and spent part of her college years in Iowa and Louisiana. She majored in English. Afterwards, she moved to Miami, and worked in export, marketing U.S. paper products to South America. She later went back to college to obtain her B.S. in Business Administration at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. However, her true passion is writing for children. She joined the Society for Children Writers and Illustrators in 2003 and has since attended their national and New Jersey conferences. She lives in South Jersey with her husband.
